Since 2021, students and tutors from Leeds School of Architecture have collaborated with the Environmental Design program at the School of Art, Shandong Jianzhu University (SJU).

In Jinan, undergraduate and postgraduate students engage in a series of workshops, employing making-based design methodologies to test materials and construction junctions.

In the coastal city of Yantai, students use film and experimental drawing techniques to document changes in fishing villages near the new campus. Their work speculates on alternative forms of occupation and explores new uses for existing spaces, structures, and construction materials.
